Kirktonhill Lawn Tennis Club
Well the season has got off to an amazing start. The courts are busy most of the weekends and the evenings have been busy when the weather has allowed us to play.
We had a great Open day welcoming quite few new members and families.
Last week we hosted the West Dunbartonshire Active schools Tennis festival, despite the freezing conditions, we had a great turn out and St Michael's Primary School went on to take the trophy with a team including our very own club members. Lots of lovely families were able to make use of our new Tuck shop and warm up with a hot cuppa or hot chocolate.
The merchandising is going down a storm with lots of orders in and a lucky few sporting the club logo on their fleeces and t shirts. Order form available in the clubhouse.
Breaking news ........ new coaching sessions for our younger players:
STARTING THIS WEEK (14th May) , we are introducing TEEN TUESDAY when Douglas will be provide coaching for teenagers (boys and girls), from 6.30pm - 7.30pm. This will run alongside the usual gents night and will be free to club members. Non-members are welcome to join in and will get their first session free. Thereafter a small charge will be made.
Towards the end of the week we will have FUN FRIDAYS - the perfect way to end the school week! The hour-long session for primary-school aged children will start at 3.30pm and we begin THIS FRIDAY, 17th MAY. Again, this will be free to club members. A charge will be made for non-members.
Don't forget that our coaching for Adult Beginners and Improvers begins tomorrow, Monday 13th May, 6.30pm - 7.15pm. This is for ladies and gents and anyone interested can come along anytime from 6.00pm to have a wee hit before the coaching starts. Any adults joining the club for the first time will get their first 3 lessons free.
Good luck to the Ladies team who have 2 matches this week - on Tuesday they are away to GU Staff and on Wednesday they are at home to Woodend. This means that all 3 courts will not be available for use after 6.30pm. The Gents also have a match on Wednesday, away at Broomhill so good luck to them too.

It looks like a busy week for us all at the club. Hope to see you there!
